Our spacious hall is 180 sq metres with wooden floor, ample windows giving air and light, wall space, great acoustics, ceiling fans and a wood fire.

It is suitable for a wide range of activities for large or small groups, including meditation, dance, music, arts and can be set up for more traditional learning activities.

Participants have access to 100 wooden chairs, 30 cushions, rugs, tables, a data projector, white board, sound system, a water station, and optional tea station.

The hall’s large, magnificent wooden doors open up to a level space for outdoor activities, leading down to a magical creek (home to turtles and platypus) and an outdoor fire pit.

Lounge & dining

Gunnebah’s lounge and dining area is it’s ‘community’ hub. Built well away from the hall and accommodation, to create a separate social space, it is perfect for chatting, listening to music, games, reading and dining. Built from mud bricks, with exquisite stained glass it holds great charm and character

There are a number of outdoor eating areas, providing diners with relaxed, natural environments overlooking the garden in which to enjoy their meals or cup of tea. Dining areas include all year round ‘indoor/outdoor’ enclosed and weather proof dining areas, as well as outdoor café style table and chairs.

Inside, there is an ample servery area for buffet style meals, a hot drink station, and a lounge area with comfy couches, coffee table, a ‘wellbeing’ library and easy listening CD collection.

Gunnebah has an excellent reputation for its food. The catering team provides delicious, healthy, abundant meals and is able to cater to a wide range of dietary requirements. Customers can be actively involved in designing their menu or leave it up to our talented chefs. The hot drink station hosts a wide range of delicious black, green and herbal teas and coffee (if desired)

For groups wanting to self cater, Gunnebah has a well equipped commercial kitchen with large 2 door fridge, commercial cooker and dishwasher.

Gunnebah’s main amenities block is adjacent to the bedrooms. There are four showers, three toilets and three sinks. Paper and towelling handtowels are provided, as well as soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The main amenities block also holds a laundry with two washing machines, a dryer and an iron with ironing board. There are two additional showers and toilets in the lounge and dining area.

Gunnebah has a glistening, resort style saltwater swimming pool. It is surrounded by sub tropical gardens and places to lounge.

Set on 6 acres, Gunnebah has its own internal walking path, taking guests on a tour around the property with places to stop and enjoy the view and contemplate life, the universe and Gunnebah.

There is also a longer walk down the country road to a neighbouring property with a small uphill climb to a wonderful lookout, where walkers will find beautiful views of the area and Mt Warning.

Produce garden

Gunnebah has abundant produce gardens, with a range of fruit (paw paw, pineapple, mandarins, grapes, avocadoes, banana) and vegetables (lettuce, potatoes, herbs, zucchini, rocket, broccoli, tomatoes) and edible flowers. Groups are welcome to get their hands dirty and experience gardening as a working meditation as part of their retreat program.
